DIY Dried Oranges

I love the look of dried oranges for fall and winter decorating. I had decided I would add some to a few signs I was going to make for my Etsy shop. They were so easy to do! I think I also want to make a garland for my mantle now!

It’s a very simple project. You could string them for a garland, add them to a vase or bowl or add to a wreath!

Just grab some oranges and slice them about 1/4 of an inch thick. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and place the oranges flat. Bake at 200 degrees for about 5 hours. Let them sit out overnight! Then have fun crafting with them!

And then I added some to some signs for my Etsy shop! The Happy Door

I definitely think this is a fun project! Kids would even love doing it! I hope you try it out! Let me know if you do!

  1. What a timely subject! I was just thinking of doing something like this and here you are giving all the yummy details. The only problem is wrestling the oranges away from my teenagers – they don’t last long in our home. Even the dog loves them. Are you adding these to the shop soon? I checked and didn’t see them yet. I MUST HAVE ONE. How beautiful and creative your work is, Brandi!
